Leh: The District Institute of Education and Training Leh (DIET Leh) inaugurated a two-day School Leadership Development Programme titled “School Leadership Development for Viksit Bharat@2047 – Futuristic Leadership for Educators and Entrepreneurship in Government Schools.”
The programme is being organised in collaboration with the National Centre for School Leadership (NCSL) and is scheduled from February 27 to February 28, 2026, in Leh district, Union Territory of Ladakh.
Aligning School Leadership with Viksit Bharat@2047 Vision
The initiative aims to enhance leadership capabilities among school heads and educators, aligning with the national vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.
The workshop focuses on:
- Innovation-driven school leadership
- Future-ready education strategies
- Entrepreneurship development in government schools
- Strategic institutional planning
- Digital leadership and technology integration
- Data-Driven Decision Making (DDDM)
- Promoting entrepreneurial mindsets among students
The programme seeks to equip school leaders with modern tools and frameworks to transform educational institutions into dynamic, innovation-focused learning environments.
Expert Guidance on Futuristic Leadership Practices
The resource person for the programme is Mr. Dorjay Wangchuk, Senior Lecturer (Computer Science), who is conducting sessions on futuristic leadership practices, effective integration of technology in school administration, and innovative approaches to educational development.
Participants are being guided on how to adopt digital tools, data analytics, and strategic planning methods to improve school management and student outcomes.
Strengthening Education in UT Ladakh
The workshop reflects DIET Leh’s ongoing commitment to professional development of educators and improving the quality of education in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
By focusing on leadership transformation and entrepreneurial education, the programme aims to prepare government schools for emerging challenges and opportunities, contributing to the broader goal of building a developed India by 2047.
