Former Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Leh, Tashi Gyalson, called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta, in New Delhi to discuss key land-related matters, including concerns surrounding Nautor Land.
Focus on Nautor Land and Transparent Land Management
During the meeting, Shri Tashi Gyalson apprised the Lt Governor of various concerns and suggestions related to land management, particularly procedural clarity in cases involving Nautor Land.
He emphasized the need for equitable and transparent resolution of land cases to safeguard public interest and ensure administrative efficiency.
The Lt Governor assured that the Ladakh Administration remains committed to addressing genuine concerns strictly in accordance with existing rules and regulations, while protecting the interests of the local population and promoting sustainable development.
Strengthening Youth Skill Development in Ladakh
Shri Tashi Gyalson also appreciated the Lt Governor’s recent visits to CSIR–Central Scientific Instruments Organisation, Chandigarh, and Indian Institute of Technology Jammu, aimed at enhancing skill development opportunities for Ladakhi youth.
Lt Governor Kavinder Gupta reiterated the Administration’s focus on empowering youth through strategic collaborations with premier institutions, encouraging entrepreneurship, and strengthening local skill ecosystems to address emerging challenges and opportunities.
Swadeshi Jagran Manch Delegation Calls on Lt Governor
Meanwhile, Anmol, President of Swadeshi Jagran Manch, Chandigarh, also met the Lt Governor.
During the interaction, Anmol briefed the Lt Governor on initiatives undertaken by the organisation to promote self-reliance, indigenous industries, and sustainable economic practices.
The Lt Governor appreciated efforts supporting the “Vocal for Local” movement and stressed the importance of strengthening grassroots economic models in the Union Territory.

Highlighting the Administration’s long-term vision, Lt Governor Kavinder Gupta emphasized a balanced approach to development that preserves Ladakh’s unique cultural and ecological heritage while ensuring inclusive economic growth.
