Defence Minister Rajnath Singh lauded the Indian armed forces for their exemplary courage and discipline during Operation Sindoor, carried out in response to terror attacks in Pahalgam. Speaking from Leh, Ladakh, he highlighted how strong border connectivity played a crucial role in the success of the operation.
“When our armed forces conducted Operation Sindoor in response to the terror attacks carried out in Pahalgam, we saw what they did to the terrorists,” Singh said. He added, “Though we could have done a lot, our forces showed not just valour, but patience as well and did only as much as was needed.”
The Defence Minister emphasised that the operation’s success was made possible by robust infrastructure and communication links in the border areas. “Such a huge operation could take place because our connectivity was strong and the border area connectivity brought historic success to Operation Sindoor,” he noted.
Operation Sindoor marked a significant counter-terrorism effort aimed at neutralising threats in Jammu and Kashmir. Singh’s remarks underscored the strategic importance of improving connectivity in border regions to enable swift and effective military responses.
His praise for the armed forces’ balance of strength and restraint during the mission reflects the government’s focus on combining tactical prowess with measured action to safeguard national security while minimizing collateral impact.
