School students of Leh visit Delhi and Agra under Samagra Shiksha schemes.

Leh, Feb 5: A group of 120 students and 15 teachers from various government schools of Leh district embarked on an educational exposure visit to Delhi and Agra on Friday. The visit was organised by the School Education Department of Ladakh under the Samagra Shiksha schemes, which aim to provide holistic and quality education to all children.

The students, who belong to classes 9 to 12, will get an opportunity to explore the historical, cultural and educational aspects of the national capital and the city of Taj Mahal during their 10-day tour. They will also interact with students and faculty members of some reputed institutions such as Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi University and Jamia Millia Islamia.

The exposure visit is expected to broaden the horizons of the students and enhance their learning outcomes. It will also help them to develop their personality, confidence and communication skills.

The Chief Education Officer of Leh, Tashi Dolma, said that the visit is part of the department’s efforts to provide exposure and learning opportunities to the students of Ladakh beyond the Union Territory. She said that such initiatives will motivate the students to pursue higher education and excel in their chosen fields.

The students and teachers expressed their excitement and gratitude for the visit and thanked the School Education Department of Ladakh and the Samagra Shiksha schemes for facilitating it. They said that they are looking forward to learning new things and having a memorable experience.
