Vinai Kumar Saxena Sworn in as 4th Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh

Vinai Kumar Saxena was sworn in as the fourth Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Ladakh during a formal ceremony held at the Central Institute of Buddhist Studies (CIBS) Auditorium in Leh.

The oath of office was administered by Arun Palli, Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

Ceremonial Guard of Honour by Ladakh Police

Following the oath-taking ceremony, Lt Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour by the Ladakh Police, marking the beginning of his tenure as the head of the Union Territory’s administration.

Appointment Warrant Read by Chief Secretary

During the ceremony, Ashish Kundra read the official warrant of appointment issued by Droupadi Murmu, formally appointing Vinai Kumar Saxena as the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh.

Leadership Change in Ladakh Administration

With the swearing-in ceremony, Vinai Kumar Saxena officially assumes charge as the fourth Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, marking a new phase in the governance of the Union Territory.

The ceremony was attended by senior government officials, administrative officers, and security personnel, highlighting the significance of the leadership transition in the strategically important Himalayan region.
