PM Modi Highlights Incomplete Legacy of YSR Reddy in Anakapalle

Date:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a public meeting held in Anakapalle, Andhra Pradesh, drew attention to the incomplete projects initiated by the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy, father of current Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The Prime Minister highlighted the Uttar Andhra Sujala Sravanthi irrigation project as a prime example of the work culture in the region. This project, initiated by YSR Reddy, aimed to bring prosperity to the region through improved irrigation facilities.

“YS Jagan Mohan Reddy took over the political legacy of his father but could not complete the projects started by his father,” Modi said, pointing out the unfinished state of the irrigation project.

The comments come at a time when the state government is under scrutiny for its handling of various development projects. Critics argue that the current administration has not done enough to carry forward the initiatives started by the previous government.

The Prime Minister’s remarks have sparked a fresh debate on the state of development projects in Andhra Pradesh, particularly those initiated during YSR Reddy’s tenure. It remains to be seen how the state government will respond to these criticisms and what steps will be taken to ensure the completion of these projects.

The Uttar Andhra Sujala Sravanthi project, once completed, is expected to significantly boost the agricultural output of the region, benefiting thousands of farmers who rely on agriculture for their livelihood.

As the political discourse heats up, the people of Andhra Pradesh will be keenly watching the developments and hoping for a swift resolution that leads to the completion of the much-needed irrigation project.
