Prime Minister Narendra Modi Visits Gurudwara Takat Sri Patna Sahib

Date:

Dehra Dun, Uttarakhand – In a significant event earlier today, India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, paid a visit to the revered Gurudwara Takat Sri Patna Sahib. This sacred site is known as the birthplace of Sri Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru.

During his visit, PM Modi paid his obeisance in the holy Darbar Sahib, demonstrating his respect and reverence for the Sikh faith. He participated in the Ardaas, a Sikh prayer that seeks divine guidance and grace. The Prime Minister also had the opportunity to listen to live Kirtan, the Sikh practice of singing hymns from the Guru Granth Sahib.

A highlight of the visit was PM Modi’s Darshan of the rare ‘shastras’ or weapons used by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. These historical artifacts hold immense significance in Sikh history and culture, symbolizing the Guru’s valor and spiritual authority.

This visit underscores PM Modi’s commitment to India’s rich and diverse cultural heritage. It also serves as a reminder of the inclusive ethos that defines the Indian nation, where leaders respect and honor all faiths.
