Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Remarks on Infiltration in West Bengal

Date:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, at a public gathering in Jhargram, West Bengal, voiced his concerns about the alleged role of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Congress in supporting infiltrators.

Modi accused the TMC of inviting infiltrators and facilitating their settlement in the region. He expressed his worry over the declining population of native Bengalis in border areas, attributing this to the influx of infiltrators who are allegedly occupying the lands of Dalits, backward, and tribal communities.

The Prime Minister was forthright in accusing the TMC and Congress of endorsing these infiltrators. “TMC-Congress together want to make the occupation of infiltrators legal,” he stated, sparking a series of discussions and debates across the political spectrum.

Infiltration has been a contentious issue in West Bengal for quite some time, with political parties often having differing views on how to tackle it. The Prime Minister’s recent comments are likely to add a new layer to this ongoing debate.

As the political landscape continues to evolve, the people of West Bengal and the entire nation will be closely watching how this situation develops.
