PM Modi Accuses Congress of Delaying Work and Usurping People’s Rights

Date:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a public gathering in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, accusing it of delaying work and usurping people’s rights.

“Congress is an expert in delaying work and usurping people’s rights,” said PM Modi, adding that the party did not even allow the brave soldiers of our army to get ‘One Rank, One Pension’ (OROP).

The OROP scheme, which ensures equal pension to military personnel retiring in the same rank with the same length of service, regardless of the date of retirement, was a long-standing demand of the Indian armed forces. The scheme was implemented when Modi took office.

PM Modi further stated, “One Rank, One Pension was implemented when Modi came.” This statement underlines his government’s commitment to the welfare of the armed forces and contrasts it with the alleged inaction of the previous Congress-led governments.

The Prime Minister’s remarks come at a time when the political temperature is high in Uttar Pradesh, with parties gearing up for the upcoming elections. His comments are seen as an attempt to highlight the achievements of his government while criticizing the opposition for their alleged failures.
