Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the much-anticipated return of his monthly radio broadcast, ‘Mann Ki Baat’, which is set to resume on June 30. The program had been on hold due to the Lok Sabha elections, with the last broadcast airing on February 25.
PM Modi made the announcement on social media, inviting citizens to contribute their ideas and topics for discussion. “Delighted to share that after a gap of some months due to the elections, #MannKiBaat is back! This month’s programme will take place on Sunday, 30th June. I call upon all of you to share your ideas and inputs for the same. Write on the MyGov Open Forum, NaMo App, or record your message on 1800 11 7800,” he posted.
The temporary suspension of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ was in compliance with the Election Commission’s guidelines. In his 110th edition of the broadcast, PM Modi had announced, “Mann Ki Baat will not be broadcast for the next three months in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.”
The 2024 Lok Sabha elections, held in seven phases from April 19 to June 1, saw the formation of the 18th Lok Sabha after votes were counted and results declared on June 4.
