India-Kazakhstan Strengthen Bilateral Ties: PM Modi and President Tokayev Discuss Strategic Partnership

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi engaged in a productive telephone conversation today with President of Kazakhstan H.E. Mr. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The leaders discussed various aspects of the bilateral relationship between India and Kazakhstan, underscoring their commitment to enhancing the Strategic Partnership that exists between the two nations.

President Tokayev began the conversation by extending warm congratulations to Prime Minister Modi on the successful completion of India’s recent elections, marking his re-election for a historic third consecutive term. Prime Minister Modi expressed gratitude for the heartfelt felicitations and affirmed his dedication to advancing India-Kazakhstan relations during his tenure.

Both leaders reiterated their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation across various sectors, emphasizing mutual interests in areas such as trade, energy, defense, and cultural exchanges. Prime Minister Modi conveyed India’s steadfast support for the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit scheduled to be held in Astana, Kazakhstan. He expressed confidence in Kazakhstan’s leadership in steering the summit towards fruitful outcomes that would contribute significantly to regional cooperation and stability.
