Drass, Ladakh – As the nation prepares to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, preparations are in full swing at the Kargil War Memorial in Drass to honor the brave soldiers who laid down their lives during the Kargil War. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Drass on July 26 to participate in the solemn event.

Kargil Vijay Diwas, observed annually on July 26, marks India’s victory in the Kargil War of 1999 against infiltrating Pakistani forces. The occasion is a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by the Indian Armed Forces in defending the nation’s sovereignty.
