‘Namo Drone Didi’ Highlights Farmers’ Shift to Drone Technology in PM Modi’s Interaction

Date:

In an interaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a ‘Namo Drone Didi’ shared how Indian farmers are increasingly embracing drone technology to enhance agricultural efficiency and reduce costs. She explained how the use of drones for spraying fertilizers, such as Nano Urea, is transforming traditional farming practices.

By adopting drones, farmers are significantly cutting down on labor costs and time while ensuring better coverage and uniform application of fertilizers. “Farmers are saving thousands while ensuring better crop health,” she stated. The shift to drone technology not only enhances productivity but also promotes precision farming, reducing wastage and improving soil health.

PM Modi has been a strong advocate of technological advancements in agriculture, encouraging initiatives that make farming more profitable and sustainable. Under government schemes, women-led ‘Drone Didis’ are being trained to operate drones, empowering them with new-age skills and creating employment opportunities in rural areas.

The introduction of Nano Urea, a liquid fertilizer developed to replace conventional urea, further complements this transformation. With drone-assisted spraying, farmers can optimize fertilizer use, improving yield and reducing environmental impact.

As the government pushes for modernization in agriculture, initiatives like ‘Namo Drone Didi’ are playing a crucial role in bridging the gap between technology and traditional farming, paving the way for a more efficient and sustainable agricultural sector in India.
