Leh — BJP leader Pradeep Bhandari has outlined an ambitious developmental roadmap for Ladakh, aligning the region’s growth with the broader national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. Speaking at a public event in Leh, Bhandari emphasized the strategic and cultural importance of Ladakh in India’s long-term development goals.
“The vision is of Viksit Bharat 2047, and Viksit Ladakh 2047 will contribute to this vision,” Bhandari stated. “Under this vision, Ladakh will emerge as a solar capital, a sporting destination, and a tourism capital.”
He added that employment opportunities for local youth will increase through focused development, and efforts are underway to improve regional connectivity with the rest of the country.
Highlighting cultural preservation, Bhandari noted, “The language of Ladakh has been addressed as the ‘Official Language’ to respect the culture here.” He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for promoting what he called “people-led development.”
The remarks come amid growing focus on infrastructure, sustainability, and cultural inclusion in the strategically located Union Territory.
