PM Modi Pays Tribute to Sree Narayana Gurudev, Highlights India’s Strength at Centenary Celebration

Date:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the Centenary Celebration of the historic conversation between Sree Narayana Gurudev and Mahatma Gandhi, emphasized that Gurudev’s vision of a strong, united, and self-reliant India is steadily becoming a reality under the nation’s current trajectory of growth.

PM Modi hailed Gurudev as a visionary who inspired generations to rise above caste barriers and work towards social harmony. “Today, India is walking the path he envisioned — of unity, equality, and strength,” the Prime Minister said.

Referring to Operation Sindoor, PM Modi underlined India’s firm and uncompromising stance against terrorism, showcasing the country’s growing capabilities in safeguarding its citizens beyond borders. “Whether it’s defending our people or standing up to threats, India speaks and acts with clarity and courage,” he asserted.

He further highlighted India’s strides in defence self-reliance, noting that the nation is increasingly turning to indigenous innovation and technology. “From being dependent on others, we are now becoming manufacturers and exporters of defence solutions,” the PM stated.

The centenary event commemorated a powerful moment in India’s social reform history — the 1925 meeting of two great minds, Gurudev and Gandhi, whose shared ideals continue to shape India’s moral and cultural foundation.
