PM Modi Inaugurates New MP Flats in Delhi, Highlights ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ Spirit

Date:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated newly constructed residential flats for Members of Parliament at Baba Kharak Singh Marg, commending the engineers and shramjeevis (workers) who brought the project to completion.

Addressing the gathering, PM Modi highlighted the symbolic importance of the complex, noting that MPs from different parts of the country will now reside together under one roof. “This reflects the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’,” he said, emphasising national unity through shared spaces.

The Prime Minister also encouraged MPs to celebrate their regional festivals collectively within the new complex. He said such cultural exchanges would enrich the vibrancy of the space and strengthen the bonds between representatives from diverse states and backgrounds.

The project, designed to meet modern residential needs while promoting an inclusive environment, is seen as a step toward fostering camaraderie and collaboration among parliamentarians, transcending party lines.

PM Modi’s remarks underscored the idea that beyond legislative debates, shared experiences and mutual respect among MPs can contribute to building a stronger, more cohesive India.
