DIET Leh Wraps Up Two-Day Lesson Planning Training Programme with 17000ft Foundation

Leh, Ladakh: The District Institute of Education and Training Leh concluded a comprehensive two-day workshop on lesson planning, organised in partnership with the 17000ft Foundation. The initiative aimed at enhancing teaching effectiveness and strengthening classroom instruction across schools in the Leh district.

Large-Scale Teacher Participation

The workshop saw participation from 253 teachers representing both government and private schools in Leh. The sessions were led by education expert Archana Mahindra, who delivered practical and application-oriented training focused on modern lesson planning techniques.

Her sessions centred on:

  • Developing structured lesson plans
  • Adopting student-focused teaching methods
  • Implementing practical classroom strategies
  • Improving measurable learning outcomes

The programme offered hands-on insights designed to help teachers translate theory into effective classroom practices.

Emphasis on Quality Teaching at the Grassroots Level

Principal Mirza Mehdi commended the trainer for conducting interactive and impactful sessions. He urged participants to integrate the newly learned methods into their daily teaching practices to ensure meaningful academic progress among students.

He stressed that systematic lesson planning is key to improving the quality of education and ensuring better student engagement.

Acknowledging Collaborative Efforts

Head of Department Tsering Yangdol delivered the concluding remarks and thanked the 17000ft Foundation team along with all participating educators for their commitment and active involvement.

Teachers expressed satisfaction with the training, noting that the structured and learner-centric approach would significantly improve classroom delivery and student understanding.
