The event was held at the Linshed Winter Residential Hostel and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students.

Promoting Awareness on Physical and Mental Health

The primary objective of the programme was to raise awareness among adolescents about the physical, emotional, and psychological changes experienced during adolescence. The initiative also aimed to promote healthy habits, positive thinking, and responsible behaviour among young students.

Participants creatively expressed their understanding of key aspects such as:

  • Adolescent health and hygiene
  • Mental well-being
  • Nutrition and healthy lifestyle
  • Importance of guidance and counselling

The vibrant and thought-provoking posters showcased students’ awareness and sensitivity towards this important transitional phase of life.

On the same occasion, an awareness session on adolescent health was conducted by clinical psychologist Tsewang Stanzin.

During the interactive session, she sensitised students about emotional changes, stress management, peer pressure, self-confidence, and the importance of seeking support from teachers and parents. The session encouraged open discussion, allowing students to ask questions and clarify doubts in a supportive environment.

The programme focused on empowering adolescents with accurate information and eliminating myths and misconceptions related to adolescence.
