Smartphone Filmmaking Course Concludes at EJM College Leh: 36 Students Showcase Creative Short Films

Leh, April 13, 2026: The valedictory session of a 6-day Basic Course in Smartphone Filmmaking concluded successfully at Eliezer Joldan Memorial College, with enthusiastic participation from students.

The course was organized by the Ladakh Skill Development Mission in collaboration with the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, aiming to equip students with practical filmmaking skills using smartphones.


Hands-On Training in Modern Filmmaking Techniques

Conducted under the guidance of noted visual communication expert Ajmal Jami, the programme saw 36 students undergo intensive training in:

  • Storytelling techniques
  • Camera framing and composition
  • Editing fundamentals
  • Production methods using smartphones

The course focused on practical, industry-relevant skills, enabling participants to create content using accessible technology.


Short Film Screening Steals the Spotlight

The programme culminated in a screening of short films produced by the students, which became the highlight of the event.
