Ambrane launches innovative USB Type-C rechargeable batteries in India

Date:

New Delhi: Ambrane has launched the first-of-its-kind Type-C rechargeable AA and AAA batteries in India. These batteries can be charged and used repeatedly. Called the Reneos series, these batteries are a great, durable, and fast-charging alternative to the commonly used disposable batteries for your home electronic devices.

The most important feature of these batteries is their built-in USB Type-C charging port. This means you won’t need a separate charger or dock to charge them. You can charge them directly with your smartphone cable. The company claims that if the battery runs out, you can use it immediately after charging for just 10 minutes. However, it takes 1 to 2 hours to fully charge. This is a great feature for quick use in an emergency.

Positioned as an eco-friendly innovation, Ambrane states that a single Reneo battery can replace up to 100 disposable batteries over its lifecycle, significantly reducing electronic waste. The batteries are aimed at everyday devices such as TV remotes, wireless mice, gaming controllers, toys, trimmers, cameras, and Bluetooth speakers, offering a stable 1.5V output for consistent performance.

On the safety front, the Reneo AA and AAA batteries come equipped with an inbuilt protection circuit system that guards against overcharging, overcurrent, and short circuits. The design also incorporates leak-proof and non-flammable materials, enhancing durability and safe usage across devices commonly used in homes.

In terms of pricing, the company has set the AA variant at ₹499 and the AAA variant at ₹399. The batteries are available through Ambrane’s official website, Amazon, and select offline retail stores across India, expanding accessibility for consumers seeking rechargeable alternatives.

According to Ambrane, the move aligns with its broader focus on innovative and sustainable charging technologies. The company noted that integrating Type-C charging into everyday batteries represents a step toward simplifying power management while reducing dependence on single-use products.

Experts believe that with this new launch, the adoption of USB Type-C across all devices is rapidly increasing. This is primarily due to the convenience it offers and the ability to power multiple devices using a single charger. With this move, Ambrane has further strengthened its position in the Indian mobile accessories and power bank market.

The Reneo series is here because more people want eco-friendly and budget-friendly power. Instead of using disposable batteries, buyers are switching to these long-lasting, rechargeable options.
