India’s Dhiraj Bommadevara and teenager Kumkum Mohod won the gold medal in the recurve mixed team event at the Archery World Cup Stage 3 in Antalya, Turkey. Delivering a stellar performance, the Indian duo defeated South Korea’s reigning Olympic champions, Oh Ye-jin and Kim Je-deok, 5-1 in the final. This marked the first World Cup gold medal for both Dhiraj and Kumkum in the mixed team event.

Meanwhile, in the men’s individual event final, Dhiraj won the gold medal by defeating South Korea’s Paris Olympics medalist Lee Woo-seok 6-4. He has become only the third Indian archer to win the men’s recurve individual World Cup title. This marked the first time India won two gold medals at a single World Cup stage. Thanks to this performance, India finished second in the medal tally behind China, while Korea slipped to fourth place; Mexico finished third.
