A Grand Fusion of Heritage and Innovation on Display at Bharat Tex 2026

The third edition of Bharat Tex attracted investment proposals worth over ₹14,300 crore, providing a global platform for the Indian textile industry. The four-day event saw participation from more than 6,000 international buyers representing over 130 countries and approximately 1.30 lakh business visitors. According to the government, the event played a pivotal role in gaining global recognition for Indian textiles, handlooms, and traditional crafts.

Participation from 130 countries; over 20,000 products showcased

According to an official statement, more than 20,000 textile products were displayed at the exhibition, which spanned an area of ​​1.6 million square feet. The event showcased the entire textile value chain—including fiber, yarn, fabric, apparel, home textiles, technical textiles, handlooms, and handicrafts—on a single platform.

Over 1,600 exhibitors and 11,000 buyers participated

More than 1,600 exhibitors and over 11,000 buyers from India and abroad participated in the event. Additionally, the presence of investors, policymakers, and industry representatives underscored the growing global confidence in the Indian textile sector.

Over 28,000 B2B meetings; investment momentum gained

More than 28,000 business-to-business (B2B) meetings were held during the exhibition. Furthermore, over 100 government-to-government (G2G) and business-to-government (B2G) meetings took place. These interactions resulted in investment proposals exceeding ₹14,300 crore.

Bihar’s Tikuli art emerged as a key attraction

Bihar’s renowned Tikuli art garnered special attention at the event. Celebrated for its vibrant colors and intricate enamel work, this traditional art form was highly appreciated by international buyers and visitors alike. Global Market Access for Handloom Weavers

The Exporters Handloom Cooperative Society Limited, representing approximately 120 weavers, showcased its products through a subsidized stall provided by the Handloom Export Promotion Council. This initiative created an opportunity to connect domestically produced handloom goods with global buyers.

Showcasing India’s Craft Heritage at Indi Haat 2026

Held alongside Bharat Tex 2026 at the National Crafts Museum in Delhi, Indi Haat 2026 presented the rich heritage of Indian handlooms and handicrafts on a global stage. The event featured 48 artisans and weavers alongside 12 design-led brands, giving regional crafts a new identity.

A Grand Display of Traditional Arts and Crafts

The exhibition showcased a wide array of traditional Indian art and craft forms, including Gulabi Meenakari, Dhokra, Usta Art, Pichwai, Sojni embroidery, Blue Pottery, silver filigree, Cheriyal painting, Mata ni Pachedi, papier-mâché, Bagru block printing, Jamdani sarees, Muga and Eri silk, and Odisha Ikat.
