Google has announced a free one-year subscription to its ‘AI Plus’ plan for eligible college students in India. According to the company, this offer provides students with access to Gemini Omni for 12 months, double the usage limits compared to standard users, 400 GB of cloud storage, and various other AI features to assist with their studies all at no cost.

Google has shared this information in a recent blog post, stating that this initiative has been launched specifically to help students make better use of advanced AI tools.

Google has introduced new features like Student Hub and Study Notebook to make studying easier for students. The Student Hub allows students to organize their studies and utilize Gemini’s learning tools, while the Study Notebook provides personalized learning support by identifying students’ strengths and weaknesses through diagnostic quizzes.

Google is offering students a discounted bundle of AI Pro and YouTube Premium, allowing for savings of up to 70%. Additionally, new AI learning features have been added to Gemini and Google Search to assist students with their studies.

Google is making Gemini Live more useful for students, enabling them to request and discuss Deep Research reports via voice while on the go. Meanwhile, new Google Search features will allow students to create interactive visuals for complex topics, take practice quizzes on various subjects, and understand concepts step-by-step using Google Lens.

Additionally, students will be able to organize their academic projects and create custom files as needed using Notebook. This offer is available in over 140 markets; in India, eligible students can avail themselves of it until December 31, 2026, upon completing the necessary verification and meeting the required conditions.
