PM Modi Questions TMC’s Priorities at Bardhaman-Durgapur Rally

Date:

West Bengal – Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a public rally here, raised serious questions about the Trinamool Congress’ (TMC) handling of a recent incident in Sandeshkhali.

“I want to ask TMC, in Sandeshkhali our Dalit sisters were served huge injustice. The whole country was demanding action. The TMC saw shielding the culprit. Was the reason that the name of the culprit was Shahjahan Sheikh?” questioned the Prime Minister.

The incident in question involved a significant injustice served to Dalit women in Sandeshkhali, a region in West Bengal. The Prime Minister pointed out that despite nationwide demands for action, the TMC appeared to be protecting the alleged perpetrator, Shahjahan Sheikh.

PM Modi further criticized the TMC for its alleged policy of appeasement. “The TMC is busy in appeasement. Can a vote bank be above humanity?” he asked the crowd, challenging the party’s priorities and questioning whether political considerations were being placed above basic human rights.

The Prime Minister’s comments come amidst a heated political climate in West Bengal, with the TMC and the BJP often at odds over various issues. This latest incident has added fuel to the ongoing political fire, with the BJP accusing the TMC of failing to uphold justice and protect the rights of the vulnerable.

The TMC has yet to respond to the Prime Minister’s comments. As the political drama unfolds, the people of West Bengal and the rest of the nation will be watching closely.
