PM Modi Lambasts INDI Alliance and TMC for Corruption in Bolpur Rally

Date:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a fervent election rally in Bolpur, West Bengal, didn’t mince words as he launched a blistering attack on the INDI alliance and the Trinamool Congress (TMC), accusing them of rampant corruption and scams during their respective tenures.

“In their 10 years of governance, the INDI alliance did nothing but scams and corruption,” Modi declared, addressing a throng of enthusiastic supporters. He proceeded to enumerate a litany of scandals that have plagued the INDI alliance, including the notorious 2G scam, submarine and helicopter scam, and the Commonwealth Games (CWG) scam.

The Prime Minister spared no punches for the TMC either, alleging they were treading a similar path. “TMC is also on the same path, they are engaging in scams in unimaginable ways,” he proclaimed. He spotlighted a string of purported scams under the TMC’s administration, such as the ration scam, recruitment scam, coal scam, and animal trafficking scam.

Modi emphasized that these weren’t minor transgressions but extensive operations worth hundreds of crores. His accusations come at a pivotal juncture as both the INDI alliance and the TMC gear up for the impending elections, with corruption emerging as a central issue in the political discourse.

The rally in Bolpur forms a crucial part of the Prime Minister’s campaign trail in West Bengal, where he seeks to consolidate support for his party. The allegations of corruption are anticipated to escalate as the elections draw nearer.

At present, representatives of the INDI alliance and the TMC have yet to respond to the Prime Minister’s allegations. The political arena in West Bengal continues to simmer as parties brace themselves for a fiercely contested electoral showdown.
