PM Modi Highlights Farmer-Centric Reforms, Praises Double Engine Governance in Yamuna Nagar

Date:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a gathering in Yamuna Nagar on Sunday, reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment to farmers, emphasizing how the party’s “double engine government” — referring to the synergy between state and central BJP leadership — is transforming agricultural welfare and rural development.

“The BJP’s double engine government stands firmly with our farmers,” PM Modi declared, outlining several key initiatives aimed at improving the livelihoods of farmers across the country.

He highlighted the expansion of Minimum Support Price (MSP) to 24 crops, ensuring broader income security for cultivators. He also pointed out that ₹9,000 crore has been disbursed to farmers under the Crop Insurance Scheme, providing relief against natural calamities and losses.

Further, under the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, the government has extended ₹6,500 crore in financial assistance to farmers in Haryana, helping ease input costs and boost productivity.

PM Modi also praised the Gobardhan Yojana, a scheme promoting bio-gas and organic waste management, calling it a game-changer. “It not only boosts farmer income by converting waste into wealth but also supports our Swachh Bharat mission by promoting cleanliness in rural areas,” he said.

The Prime Minister’s remarks reinforced the government’s focus on rural empowerment, sustainable farming, and financial support for India’s agrarian backbone.
