BJP’s Ashok Koul Reviews Party Activities, Discusses Key Issues During Ladakh Visit

Date:

Jammu & Kashmir BJP General Secretary Ashok Koul concluded a three-day visit to Ladakh, during which he reviewed ongoing party activities and preparations for upcoming events, including the nationwide celebration of Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti.

Koul noted that his visit focused on evaluating events held from April 6 to 12, including BJP Foundation Day, and to oversee preparations for the large-scale programmes planned from April 14 to 25 in honor of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. “I did a state visit for 3 days. Analysed some events from April 6th to 12th, including BJP Foundation Day. This visit is also for the analysis of the large-scale event BJP is organizing for Babasaheb Ambedkar,” he said.

He added that broader policy discussions were also part of the visit, including topics such as “One Nation, One Election.” Koul emphasized that local issues were taken up with party workers, and steps were being taken to further strengthen the party’s presence in the region. “Some of the problems of the area were discussed among the party workers… I visited to strengthen the party and discuss these issues,” he stated.

Highlighting internal party developments, Koul mentioned the introduction of new state unit presidents and reaffirmed the process of selecting national and remaining state leadership. “The national President of the party needs to be chosen among the 13 crore workers, and the nomination of some state Presidents that remain will be done by the national President,” he said.

Koul’s visit underscores the BJP’s continued focus on organizational outreach, policy discussions, and grassroots engagement in the strategically significant Union Territory of Ladakh.
