Government Degree College Khaltse organised an admission-cum-counselling drive at Government Higher Secondary School Khaltse to guide students about higher education opportunities and admission procedures.
More than 100 students participated in the outreach programme, where they were informed about various academic courses, career prospects and the benefits of pursuing higher education.
Guidance on Higher Education and Admission Process
During the session, faculty members from Government Degree College Khaltse explained admission procedures, available undergraduate programmes and career pathways for students planning to continue their education after school.
Students were also introduced to key aspects of the National Education Policy 2020, including its focus on multidisciplinary learning, flexibility in course selection and improved career opportunities.
Faculty and Senior Students Share College Experience
Faculty members along with senior college students interacted with participants and shared insights about college life, academic opportunities and extracurricular activities available at the institution.
They also addressed students’ queries related to course selection, campus facilities and future career prospects.
Encouraging Students to Pursue Higher Education
The initiative aimed to encourage school students to pursue higher education and make informed decisions about their academic future.
Officials said such counselling drives help bridge the gap between school education and higher education, while creating awareness about opportunities available to students in the region.
