Commercial LPG Prices Slashed by 183.50 Rupees Across India; Domestic Consumers See No Change

Date:

The government of India has reduced the commercial LPG prices today across the country. State-owned oil marketing companies have announced today that the rate of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has been reduced by 183.50 rupees. Now, in the national capital, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder is 2,930 rupees, down from the previous rate of 3,113.50 rupees.

This price cut is reflected across other parts of the country as well. In Lucknow, the price of the 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has fallen to ₹3,052.50 from ₹3,236. In Kolkata, the price has decreased from ₹3,255.50 to ₹3,081.50. In Patna, the price of the 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has come down to ₹3,227.

This marks the first time this year that commercial gas prices have dropped. In the national capital, the price of a 19-kg commercial cylinder was ₹1,580.50 in December 2025; it rose to ₹1,691.50 on January 1, 2026, at the start of the new year. Subsequently, on February 1, the price increased to ₹1,740.50.

There was no relief in March either. On March 1, the price of a commercial cylinder rose by ₹28 to ₹1,768.50. Just six days later, on March 7—amidst the US-Iran conflict—prices were revised again; a hike of ₹114.50 pushed the price to ₹1,883.

On April 1, the price of a commercial cylinder reached ₹2,078.50. Following this, the steepest price hike to date was recorded on May 1. After a single-step increase of ₹993, the price in New Delhi rose to ₹3,071.50. The trend of rising prices continued into June as well. On June 1, the price of the cylinder rose by another ₹42, reaching ₹3,113.50.

The government has kept domestic LPG prices stable. The price of domestic LPG in New Delhi is ₹942. Prior to this, the price of a 14 kg domestic LPG cylinder had been increased by ₹60 on March 7 and by ₹29 on June 7.
