PM Modi Accuses Congress of Religious Appeasement at Bastar Rally

Date:

Bastar, Chhattisgarh: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a public rally in Bastar, launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, accusing it of religious appeasement and neglecting the interests of the people. PM Modi’s remarks came in the wake of controversies surrounding the attendance of the Congress party leaders at the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Mandir, which was declined by the party’s royal family.

PM Modi asserted, “The royal family of Congress rejected the invitation of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Mandir. Congress leaders who called this step wrong were expelled from the party.” He went on to claim that this incident epitomized the Congress party’s tendency to prioritize appeasement politics over national interest.

Furthermore, PM Modi alleged that the Congress manifesto bore the imprint of the Muslim League, insinuating that the party’s policies were influenced by religious considerations. He accused the Congress of neglecting the needs of the country’s citizens and emphasized that it was the BJP government that was diligently implementing welfare measures on the ground.

PM Modi’s remarks ignited a flurry of reactions, with supporters lauding his bold stance against religious appeasement, while critics accused him of politicizing religious sentiments for electoral gains. The Congress party, in response, refuted the allegations, asserting its commitment to secularism and inclusive governance.

This latest exchange underscores the deepening political polarization and ideological differences between the BJP and the Congress. As the country gears up for crucial state elections, including in Chhattisgarh, such confrontations are likely to intensify, with both parties vying for voter support through divergent narratives and policy agendas.

The accusations leveled by PM Modi against the Congress party are expected to reverberate across the political landscape, shaping public discourse and influencing electoral dynamics in the run-up to the polls. As the political rhetoric escalates, it remains to be seen how voters will respond to these contrasting visions for the future of the nation.
