PM Modi Inaugurates ₹26,000 Crore Projects in Rajasthan, Showcases India’s Infrastructure Transformation

Date:

Deshnoke, Bikaner — Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday addressed a massive public rally in Deshnoke, Rajasthan, highlighting the government’s unwavering focus on modern infrastructure as the backbone of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India).

The PM inaugurated development projects worth ₹26,000 crore, calling the investment part of a larger national effort to transform India’s public infrastructure. “To create a Viksit Bharat, a ‘Mahayagya’ to create modern infrastructure is underway,” Modi said, underscoring that six times more money is being spent on infrastructure now compared to previous administrations.

He also detailed sweeping changes in India’s railway sector, describing it as central to this transformation. “Today, India is modernising its railway network. Vande Bharat, Amrit Bharat, and Namo Bharat trains symbolise the new speed and progress of the nation,” he said.

Modi noted that unmanned railway crossings on broad gauge tracks are now a thing of the past, significantly improving safety. “More than 1300 railway stations are being modernised simultaneously,” he added, promising enhanced passenger experiences and regional connectivity.

The projects are being seen as part of the Centre’s push to boost economic growth, improve logistics, and elevate India’s global competitiveness. As elections loom, such infrastructure announcements also underline the government’s pitch for continuity in its development agenda.
