PM Modi: Operation Sindoor Now a People’s Movement for Viksit Bharat by 2047

Date:

Gujarat — Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his address in Gujarat, declared that Operation Sindoor, initiated as a military action on May 6, 2025, has now transformed into a people-led movement aimed at building a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) by 2047.

Highlighting the importance of collective national effort, PM Modi emphasized that India’s journey to becoming the third-largest global economy cannot rely solely on government policies. Instead, it requires active participation from 140 crore citizens, particularly in embracing indigenous products and shunning foreign alternatives.

“From Ganesha idols to hairpins, every small item matters. We need to reject imported goods and wholeheartedly support ‘Vocal for Local’,” Modi said. He stressed that the path to a self-reliant India lies in strengthening domestic manufacturing, promoting local artisans, and ensuring that the money of Indian consumers fuels Indian businesses.

He also linked the mission to a broader cultural and economic renaissance, saying that true independence is not just political but also economic and psychological—achieved only when Indians take pride in using goods made in India.

Modi urged citizens to treat Operation Sindoor as a movement of economic patriotism, calling it an extension of the government’s long-standing Aatmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India) vision.

The Prime Minister’s address marks a renewed push toward aligning military strength, economic policy, and cultural consciousness under one unified national objective—making India a developed, proud, and self-reliant nation by its centenary of independence.
