Operation Mahadev: Stone Pelting, Terror Support Have Ended, Says Ladakh LG Kavinder Gupta

Date:

Katra, Reasi:
Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta hailed the success of Operation Mahadev, stating that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir has significantly improved due to the central government’s firm stance on terrorism.

“Stone pelting has ended. Lakhs of people who would earlier attend the funerals of terrorists no longer do so. The everyday calls for strikes have ended,” said Gupta.

He attributed this transformation to the Centre’s zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism, adding, “It is a result of this strict approach that those accused in the Pahalgam incident have been neutralized.”

Gupta’s remarks come amid a broader crackdown on terror activities in the region, with operations like Mahadev and Sindoor reflecting a more aggressive national security posture.
