PM Modi Says Congress in ‘Dire State’ as BJP Outperforms in Successive State Elections

Date:

Surat, Gujarat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday took a sharp dig at the Congress party while addressing a public gathering in Surat. Reflecting on recent electoral outcomes, Modi said that Congress has been performing poorly in every state election held after the Lok Sabha polls.

“The state elections that followed the Lok Sabha elections, in all those, Congress was in a dire state,” the Prime Minister said.

Highlighting the BJP’s recent success in Bihar, Modi pointed out that the party secured more MLAs in a single state than Congress managed to win across multiple states combined. “We won more MLAs in Bihar yesterday than the Congress won in these five or six states combined,” he stated.

Modi’s remarks come at a time when political momentum appears to be shifting in several states, with the BJP capitalizing on what it describes as a public mandate for stability, development, and strong governance. The Prime Minister emphasized that voters across the country continue to place their trust in the BJP’s leadership and performance-driven governance model.

He also added that the results reflect the public’s growing impatience with parties that, according to him, fail to offer a clear vision or deliver meaningful development.

The Prime Minister’s comments are expected to intensify the political debate ahead of upcoming elections, further deepening the ongoing rivalry between the BJP and Congress as both parties look to consolidate their positions across states.
