Nubra SDM Leads Mega Sanitation Drive Across Diskit and Hunder, Community Joins Hands

A large-scale sanitation campaign was successfully conducted across Nubra Subdivision under the leadership of Sub Divisional Magistrate Jigmet Raftan, showcasing strong community participation and administrative coordination.

Preparatory Meeting Sets the Tone

A day before the campaign, SDM Nubra chaired a high-level meeting at Diskit to:

  • Review preparations
  • Ensure coordination among departments
  • Identify key focus areas for cleaning

Officials were directed to carry out intensive sanitation drives across:

  • Roads and marketplaces
  • Tourist destinations
  • Government offices and institutions
  • Water bodies and public spaces

  • Diskit
  • Hunder

Special attention was given to prominent tourist spots, including the Sand Dunes, along with public institutions and marketplaces.

  • Hotel & Guest House Association
  • Camel Safari Association

SDM Jigmet Raftan appreciated the participation and emphasized that such drives are vital for:
