Dr Laltinkhuma Franklin Reviews Healthcare Facilities at CHC Sankoo, Emphasises Quality Patient Care

Kargil, April 15, 2026: Dr Laltinkhuma Franklin, Commissioner Secretary, Health & Medical Education, Union Territory of Ladakh, conducted a comprehensive review of healthcare facilities at the Community Health Centre (CHC) Sankoo in Kargil.


Inspection of Key Medical Facilities

During the visit, Dr Franklin inspected multiple sections of the health centre, including:

  • General Ward
  • Emergency Unit
  • Minor Operation Theatre
  • Operation Theatre
  • Eye OPD and other outpatient departments

The review aimed to assess the quality of healthcare services and infrastructure available to patients.


Equipped with Modern Infrastructure

Officials informed that CHC Sankoo is equipped with modern medical equipment and adequate infrastructure to effectively cater to patient needs. The centre provides a range of healthcare services for residents of the region.

The Commissioner Secretary held detailed discussions with:

  • Chief Medical Officer Kargil
  • Block Medical Officer Sankoo
  • Medical staff and consultants

The discussions focused on identifying key requirements and logistical needs to further improve healthcare delivery.
