‘Jung sJabs’ Outreach Programme Held at Khema Village to Boost Welfare Delivery in Ladakh

Date:

Nubra (Ladakh): In a continued push to strengthen last-mile governance, the Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh organised a “Jung sJabs” outreach programme at Khema village in Nubra subdivision, bringing government services directly to residents’ doorsteps.

The initiative, conducted under the “Administration at Doorstep” campaign, focused on improving access to welfare schemes and ensuring that remote communities benefit from various government services without having to travel long distances.

Officials from multiple departments participated in the programme, interacting with villagers and spreading awareness about different welfare initiatives. The camp also facilitated on-the-spot service delivery, enabling eligible beneficiaries to avail key services immediately.

The outreach effort aimed to enhance public awareness, address grievances, and bridge gaps between the administration and citizens. Residents were encouraged to raise their concerns and queries, which were noted by officials for timely resolution.

Similar “Jung sJabs” programmes held across the Nubra region have demonstrated strong public participation, with departments providing services such as documentation support, healthcare assistance, and information on government schemes.

The Khema village programme is part of a broader strategy by the Ladakh administration to ensure inclusive development and strengthen grassroots governance, particularly in remote and border areas where access to services remains a challenge.
