Gurgaon/Chandigarh: Haryana’s school students have delivered a standout academic performance in the 2026 ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) examinations, with results reflecting strong consistency, discipline, and improving learning outcomes across the state. The results were announced by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), which once again recorded national pass percentages above 99% in both categories.
In Haryana, the outcome has been particularly noteworthy. The state registered a near-perfect 99.8% pass rate in ICSE (Class 10), while ISC (Class 12) recorded a complete 100% pass result, placing Haryana among the top-performing regions under the CISCE board.
Education officials and school authorities across Gurgaon and other districts credited the performance to structured teaching practices, continuous evaluation, and increased focus on conceptual understanding rather than rote learning. Many schools reported that students performed exceptionally well across subjects, with a significant number securing above 90% marks and several achieving top scores in individual papers.
The results also highlighted a continued academic trend observed nationally: girls outperformed boys in both ICSE and ISC examinations, reflecting improved gender parity in education. Teachers noted that female students in Haryana have been consistently among the top performers in school-level assessments over recent years.
A key highlight of this year’s results has been the emergence of several young achievers from Haryana schools, particularly in urban centres like Gurgaon, where institutions reported near-total pass rates. Students celebrated across campuses as schools recorded strong performances in science, commerce, and humanities streams.
The ISC Class 12 results, in particular, are being seen as a significant achievement due to the 100% pass rate, which underscores strong preparation at the senior secondary level. Many students are now preparing for competitive entrance examinations in engineering, medicine, law, and business studies, while others are considering international higher education opportunities.
Across India, CISCE recorded more than 3.6 lakh candidates appearing for the ICSE and ISC examinations, with overall performance remaining consistently high at above 99% pass rates. Haryana’s results mirror this broader national trend, but its perfect ISC outcome places it among the stronger-performing states this year.
Experts in the education sector attribute such outcomes to the increasing adoption of digital learning tools, regular assessments, and skill-based teaching methods in schools. The shift towards analytical and application-based learning has also been credited for improving student performance in board examinations.
At the same time, educationists have cautioned against viewing results purely through percentages, stressing the importance of holistic development, creativity, and mental well-being as students transition to higher education.
School authorities and state education stakeholders have welcomed the results, describing them as evidence of Haryana’s steadily improving academic ecosystem. Many institutions are now focusing on further strengthening teaching methods and student support systems to maintain this upward trajectory in future examinations.
With near-perfect ICSE results and a flawless ISC performance, Haryana’s students have once again demonstrated strong academic capability, reinforcing the state’s position as a consistent performer in school education. As results celebrations continue, attention now shifts to students’ next academic steps and future career paths, marking an important milestone in their educational journey.
