Jung-Sjabs Campaign Expands Welfare Outreach in Kharu Subdivision

The “Jung-Sjabs” campaign, an initiative focused on strengthening public outreach and ensuring effective implementation of welfare schemes, was successfully conducted in Upshi village for residents of Upshi and Meru in the Kharu subdivision of Ladakh.

The programme brought multiple government services directly to villagers, aiming to enhance accessibility and awareness.


Multiple Welfare Schemes Delivered at Doorstep

During the camp, various saturation schemes and services were provided, including:

  • PMMVY registration by ICDS department
  • Creation of APAAR IDs
  • Pension and scholarship enrolment by Social Welfare Department
  • KCC and PM-KISAN registration by Agriculture Department
  • Job card issuance and e-KYC by Rural Development Department

Additionally, ongoing rural development projects were reviewed, ensuring better implementation at the grassroots level.


Key Citizen Services and Documentation Facilitated

Authorities facilitated several essential administrative services, including:

  • Resident and domicile certificates
  • Mutation and ST certificates
  • Aadhaar enrolment and corrections
  • Golden Cards (Ayushman Bharat) issuance

Medical services and other essential facilities were also provided during the outreach programme, benefiting a large number of villagers.


Health Initiative: Deworming Drive for Children

As part of the campaign, a special deworming drive was conducted for children aged 1 to 6 years. Medicines were distributed to ensure better child health and nutrition in the region.


Officials Highlight Importance of Welfare Schemes

The programme was attended by Mohd Shabir, who addressed the public and emphasized the importance of government welfare schemes.

He urged residents to actively participate and avail benefits, assuring full cooperation in service delivery, grievance redressal, and overall development of the area.

Other officials present included:

  • Kunzang Dolma
  • Sonam Nilza
  • Stanzin Namgail

Representatives from various departments and J&K Bank also participated, providing services related to their respective domains.


Strengthening Governance at the Grassroots

The Jung-Sjabs campaign reflects the administration’s commitment to delivering governance at the grassroots level by ensuring that essential services and schemes reach even the most remote villages.
