Zanskar Entrepreneur Proposes Heritage Wellness Centre, LAHDC Kargil Assures Full Support for Traditional Healthcare Initiative

In a significant step towards promoting traditional healthcare and sustainable development, entrepreneur Pema Chosdon from Zanskar has proposed the establishment of a Heritage Wellness Centre in the Kargil district.

Proposal Presented to LAHDC Kargil

Pema Chosdon met Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor of LAHDC Kargil, along with Phunchok Tashi at the Council Secretariat in Kargil.

The meeting focused on:

  • Expanding access to organic and Ayurvedic healthcare
  • Strengthening community-based wellness systems

Vision for a Holistic Wellness Centre

The proposed centre aims to:

  • Promote traditional healing practices
  • Preserve local cultural heritage
  • Improve community health and well-being

The initiative, under Pema Care, envisions:
