Date:

The Chief Secretary of Ladakh, Ashish Kundra, has conducted a detailed review of preparations at key venues ahead of the upcoming Sacred Buddha Relics Exposition, ensuring that all arrangements are in place for the smooth conduct of the major spiritual event in the Union Territory.

During his visit to Jive-Tsal, Choglamsar in Leh, the Chief Secretary inspected on-ground arrangements and assessed the readiness of infrastructure being developed for the large-scale public gathering. The exposition is scheduled to commence soon and is expected to attract thousands of devotees, tourists, and international visitors.

Officials reviewed a wide range of facilities including security arrangements, crowd management systems, sanitation, parking infrastructure, and logistical support, with a focus on ensuring a seamless experience for attendees. Senior officers from the administration, including representatives from the police, tourism department, and public works department, accompanied the inspection.

The sacred exposition is being organised as a significant religious and cultural event under the UT administration, with preparations involving coordination between multiple departments and community organisations. Authorities have emphasised that the event will be managed with tight security protocols and structured visitor flow mechanisms to handle the expected large turnout.

Officials said the review was aimed at ensuring timely completion of all essential arrangements, including visitor facilities and site readiness, ahead of the arrival of the holy relics. The exposition is considered a landmark event for Ladakh, highlighting its deep-rooted Buddhist heritage and its role as a major spiritual destination.

The administration has reiterated its commitment to ensuring a well-organised, safe, and spiritually significant experience for devotees during the exposition, which is expected to be one of the most important religious gatherings in the region.
